Egyptian mediation efforts, with the participation of Qatar, the United States, and Turkey, succeeded in reaching an agreement on the mechanisms for implementing the first phase of the ceasefire agreement in Gaza between Hamas and Israel, following serious and marathon negotiations that resulted in a preliminary agreement to stop the war.

Hamas announced reaching an agreement to end the war on Gaza, the withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza, the entry of aid, and the exchange of prisoners. This came after responsible and serious negotiations conducted by Hamas and Palestinian resistance factions regarding President Trump’s proposal in Sharm El-Sheikh, aiming to stop the extermination war against the Palestinian people and the withdrawal of the occupation from the Gaza Strip.

Hamas expressed high appreciation for the efforts of mediators in Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey, and praised the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump, who seeks to end the war completely and ensure the full withdrawal of the occupation from Gaza.

Hamas called in its statement on President Donald Trump, the guarantor states of the agreement, and various Arab, Islamic, and international parties to oblige the Israeli occupation government to fully implement the agreement’s obligations and not allow it to renege or delay applying what was agreed upon.

Hamas saluted the great Palestinian people in Gaza, Jerusalem, the West Bank, and inside and outside the homeland, who recorded unprecedented stances of pride, heroism, and honor, confronting the fascist occupation projects targeting them and their national rights; these great sacrifices and stances thwarted the Israeli occupation’s plans for subjugation and displacement.

The movement confirmed that the sacrifices of the Palestinian people will not be in vain and that it will remain committed to the pledge and will not abandon the Palestinian people’s national rights until freedom, independence, and self-determination are achieved.

Meanwhile, U.S. President Donald Trump announced in a tweet on Truth Social that Israel and Hamas signed the first phase of the plan.

In response, Trump wrote: “I am honored to announce that Israel and Hamas have signed the first phase of our peace plan. This means all hostages will be released very soon, and Israel will withdraw its forces to the agreed line – as a first step toward a strong, stable, and lasting peace. All parties will be treated fairly.”

Trump described the day as a great day for the Arab and Islamic world, Israel, all surrounding countries, and the United States, thanking the mediators from Egypt, Qatar, and Turkey who worked with us to make this historic and unprecedented event successful. Blessed are the peacemakers.

Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said he would convene the government to approve the ceasefire agreement on Gaza, confirming that his government will return all prisoners and hostages to Israel. His statement came after U.S. President Donald Trump announced Israel and Hamas’s approval of the first phase of the hostage deal and his ceasefire plan in Gaza.

Israeli media confirmed that the process of handing over Israeli prisoners will take place without any ceremonies, noting that the prisoners will be handed over to the Israeli side early next week.

They explained that both sides made concessions during the negotiations, confirming that Israel agreed to certain changes in the yellow withdrawal line, and that living prisoners will be released next Sunday, along with a large number of bodies. The rest of the remains will be delivered the following week.

Israeli media pointed out that Hamas received guarantees from the mediators that the ceasefire will continue as long as both parties adhere to the conditions of Trump’s plan, banning any hostile acts of any kind, and that humanitarian aid will be immediately introduced through five crossings including the Rafah crossing. Negotiations regarding arrangements to end the war and the second phase will begin after the Jewish holidays.

In Tel Aviv, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu congratulated U.S. President Donald Trump during a phone call on the historic achievement of signing the Sharm El-Sheikh agreement. Netanyahu also invited President Trump to deliver a speech before the Israeli Knesset.
