Michael Raphael, head of the Egyptian National Party, praised the great success achieved by the Egyptian mediation in reaching an agreement to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, affirming that this achievement reflects Egypt’s pivotal position regionally and internationally, and its historic ability to maintain security and stability in the region.

Raphael said that Egypt has once again demonstrated its firm commitment to supporting the brotherly Palestinian people and its keenness to prevent the bloodshed of innocents, pointing out that the Egyptian diplomatic efforts were managed wisely and coordinated precisely with the relevant international and regional parties, resulting in achieving calm and opening a new horizon for peace opportunities.

The head of the Egyptian National Party added that the Egyptian leadership, led by President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, spared no effort to achieve humanitarian and political security in Gaza, affirming that this success is an extension of Egypt’s historic role in defending the Palestinian cause for decades, considering it the foremost Arab cause.

Raphael confirmed that Egypt dealt with the crisis not only from a political standpoint but also from a humanitarian and ethical perspective reflecting the conscience of the Arab nation, stressing that this agreement is an important step towards restoring stability and rebuilding the Gaza Strip, representing a clear message that Egypt will always remain the voice of peace and rationality in a troubled region.

He concluded by saying: “Cairo’s mediation is not just a political achievement, but a new testimony that Egypt remains the beating heart of the Arab world.”
