A Palestinian source close to Hamas told the AFP news agency that the movement is studying Trump’s plan regarding the Gaza Strip.

The White House published Trump’s plan to end the war in Gaza yesterday, Monday, following his meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The plan includes making Gaza an “extremism-free and terrorism-free zone that poses no threat to its neighbors,” and starting the reconstruction process to serve the residents who have suffered enough.

According to the plan, if both parties agree to this proposal, the war will stop immediately, and Israeli occupation forces will withdraw to the agreed line in preparation for a prisoner exchange. All military operations, including air and artillery strikes, will be suspended during this period, and fighting will be frozen until the conditions for a full phased withdrawal are met.

Within 72 hours of Israel’s public acceptance of this agreement, all detainees, alive or dead, will be returned.

After releasing all detainees, Israel will free 250 prisoners sentenced to life imprisonment, in addition to 1,700 Palestinians from Gaza arrested after October 7, 2023, including all women and children detained in this context. For every Israeli detainee whose body is returned, Israel will release the remains of 15 Palestinians.

After all detainees are returned, Hamas members who “commit to peaceful coexistence and disarmament” will be granted amnesty. Those wishing to leave Gaza will be provided a safe passage to receiving countries.

Upon acceptance of the agreement, humanitarian aid will be sent immediately to Gaza, at a minimum level similar to that stipulated in the January 19, 2025 agreement, including rehabilitation of infrastructure (water, electricity, sewage), hospitals, bakeries, and the introduction of equipment necessary to remove rubble and open roads.

According to the plan, aid will be delivered and distributed in Gaza through the United Nations and its agencies, the Red Crescent, and other international bodies not affiliated with either party. The Rafah crossing will be opened using the same mechanism adopted in the January 19, 2025 agreement.

The plan indicated that Gaza will be governed under a temporary transitional administration by a non-political Palestinian technocratic committee responsible for providing daily services to the population.

The committee will consist of qualified Palestinians and international experts, supervised by a new international transitional body called the “Peace Council,” chaired by Donald Trump, along with other personalities and world leaders, including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

This body will set frameworks and secure funding for Gaza’s reconstruction until the Palestinian Authority completes its reform program and regains effective and secure control.
