Many Arab and foreign participants in the 62nd Damascus International Fair praised the high-level organization of the event and expressed admiration for the remarkable diversity of activities and pavilions, making it an encouraging platform for companies and exhibitors to enter the Syrian market and build strategic partnerships with their local counterparts.

In a statement to SANA’s correspondent, Adeeb Al-Masalmeh, First Secretary Assistant and Economic Commercial Consul at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Damascus, confirmed that his country was keen to participate in the fair after the liberation phase to enhance trade and investment cooperation with Syria.

He explained that the Czech pavilion includes profiles covering various economic and commercial fields that could form a basis for future cooperation with the Syrian government, noting the diverse turnout of visitors from different professional and economic levels.

Meanwhile, Samer Haj Yacoub, representative of the German Association of Medium and Small Enterprises, said the German pavilion represents about 3,500 companies, expressing these companies’ desire to engage in the Syrian labor market and provide their services, affirming that participation in the fair reflects the goodwill of German companies and their readiness to contribute to reconstruction efforts.

As for Aqaba Sheikh Ahmed, Regional Director of the German company “Roland,” specialized in heavy transport in the Middle East and Europe, he pointed out that his company’s participation in the fair will be followed by subsequent steps to participate in specialized exhibitions, noting that the fair witnessed a remarkable turnout of economic activities and businessmen during its days, making it an encouraging experience for participation in upcoming events.

At the Palestine pavilion, Yasmin Hamzat, Sales Department Officer at the Palestine Girls Club, explained that the pavilion includes Palestinian products, handicrafts, and heritage items, pointing to the high organization of the fair in terms of procedures and arrangements, and confirming that the Palestinian pavilion received great interest from visitors keen on acquiring heritage products.

Meanwhile, Jaafar Makhlouf, Public Relations Manager at the Central European Chamber of Commerce, confirmed that the fair constitutes an effective communication platform between Syrian traders and investors and their European counterparts, noting that the next phase will witness the organization of forums and economic meetings bringing together prominent business figures abroad.

This year, more than 800 local, Arab, and international companies participate in the fair, alongside official representation from 44 countries, including Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Turkey, Qatar, Egypt, China, and Germany, reflecting the growing interest from various economic and commercial entities in this event and enhancing cooperation and investment opportunities among participants and visitors.
