Thumbay University Hospital inaugurated the Thumbay LASIK and Eye Surgery Center at Thumbay Medicity in Ajman. The opening was attended by Dr. Mohamed Hesham, Medical Director and Ophthalmology Consultant at Magrabi Eye Hospital in Dubai, who was the guest of honor, and Akbar Mohey Eldin Thumbay, Vice Chairman of Thumbay Group’s Healthcare Division, who presided over the ceremony.

The center is designed as a center of excellence offering comprehensive ophthalmology services including LASIK procedures, laser vision correction surgeries such as PRK and SMILE, corneal cross-linking, keratoconus treatment, advanced cataract surgeries with intraocular lens solutions, and specialized clinics for dry eye treatment, ocular surface disorders, and presbyopia.

Akbar Mohey Eldin Thumbay stated that the center reinforces their commitment to patient-centered care by integrating branch clinics, advanced diagnostics, and innovative surgical solutions, while establishing academic and research initiatives to position Thumbay as a regional leader in eye health.
