Masad Paulos, senior advisor to Trump for the Middle East and Africa, said that disarming Hamas is a central element in Trump’s plan and must be implemented, noting that the method of implementation is still under study with the relevant partners.

He added in exclusive remarks via Zoom to the program “Al-Soura with Lamis Elhadidy” broadcast on Al-Nahar channel, that the daily administration of Gaza will be the responsibility of a Palestinian technocratic government, pointing out that the Peace Council headed by Trump is responsible for overseeing the plan’s implementation, reconstruction, and other strategic matters.

He pointed out that many countries, led by Gulf states, are ready to finance Gaza’s reconstruction plans, noting many supporting initiatives, including the Egyptian initiative approved by the Arab League, amid no confirmations about Israel’s participation in this process.

He indicated the beginning of the phase of celebrating this impactful achievement in Gaza and the Arab countries in general, adding that item nineteen of Trump’s plan discussed the two-state solution file, considering it a long path and a fundamental goal for the Palestinians.

He confirmed that the role of American forces in Gaza is to technically supervise the implementation of Trump’s plan, explaining that Israel will withdraw to the initial borders according to the announced plan, even for the third withdrawal from the sector.

He noted that when the Palestinian Authority is ready, after carrying out the required reforms, it will take over the leadership of the sector, as announced within the Sharm El-Sheikh agreement.

He expressed optimism about the results of these plans and their ability to solve the two-state solution and bring peace to the region, emphasizing that the most important thing is Trump’s optimism, which he expressed in more than one place, supporting peace in the Middle East.
