The Cybersecurity Council of the UAE Government and Edge Group signed a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at enhancing cooperation in cybersecurity and information protection. The signing took place on the sidelines of GITEX Global 2025, with the agreement signed by Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti, Head of Cybersecurity for the UAE Government, and Hamad Al Merr, Managing Director and CEO of Edge Group.

The MoU embodies the joint commitment of both parties to strengthen the UAE’s resilience against cyber threats and develop national capabilities in attack detection, mitigation, and immediate response. The agreement also establishes a framework for cooperation in research and development, information exchange, incident response, and capacity building across vital sectors, aligning with the country’s vision to protect its digital future.

Dr. Mohammed Al Kuwaiti stated: “Through this partnership with Edge Group, we enhance our joint capabilities to protect critical infrastructure and consolidate the UAE’s position as a global leader in cybersecurity.
