The Maronite Patriarch Cardinal Mar Bechara Boutros Al-Rahi received a delegation from the “Change Movement” headed by lawyer Elie Mahfouz in Diman, where they discussed the general situation in Lebanon. Mahfouz affirmed support for the Patriarch’s positions and rejected Iranian interference in Lebanese politics. He emphasized that no Lebanese person has allowed themselves to interfere in Iranian politics, so why allow Iranian figures to interfere in Lebanon? Mahfouz announced that tomorrow, Wednesday, they will present a complaint before the Beirut Court of Cassation against the Secretary-General of Hezbollah militia, Sheikh Naim Qassem, hoping that the judiciary will be the decisive authority to rule with justice and fairness.
