Major General Ibrahim Abu Lemon, Governor of Monufia, conducted an inspection visit to the health insurance clinics in the new building in West Shebin El Kom neighborhood to monitor the regularity of work and ensure the beneficiaries’ needs are met quickly and effectively. This came during his extensive field tour, attended by Dr. Mohamed Fouad, Director General of Health Insurance in Monufia branch, and Sayed Shaban, Head of West Shebin El Kom district.
The governor inspected several clinics to check the quality of medical and therapeutic services provided to patients. He also listened to a detailed explanation of work mechanisms and attendance rates, and held an open dialogue with insurance beneficiaries about the availability of all necessary medical requirements to provide comprehensive and distinguished healthcare, aiming to offer integrated and sustainable medical services that efficiently and effectively meet citizens’ needs.
The Governor of Monufia also listened to several complaints and requests from insurance beneficiaries, directing the Director General of Insurance to quickly address them and find immediate solutions, including increasing medicine dispensing outlets to facilitate citizens and reduce crowding. During his inspection, he also ordered to develop a plan and explore the possibility of utilizing the available space in front of the old Shebin El Kom train station to expand the area and establish a service building including commercial shops and a garage to improve the surrounding area, reduce congestion, and enhance service levels.
The Governor emphasized his full commitment to supporting the health system to provide better medical services in implementation of political leadership directives, noting that many immediate measures and decisions have been taken to support the health insurance system at the governorate level by expanding service scope through allocating additional locations equipped with the latest medical devices to enhance the provided service and utilize them as clinics and pharmacies to increase the number of dispensing outlets and windows, facilitating medicine dispensing procedures and helping reduce congestion and crowding to ease the burden on patients and the elderly.
