Dr. Ahmed Al-Ansari, Governor of Fayoum, during the regular citizen service meeting, directed the provision of development projects and job opportunities in private sector companies and factories for young men and women, especially people with disabilities, alongside providing social protection interventions necessary for the most vulnerable families. He also ordered a swift inspection of the Nasrani Bay waterway in Manshat Abdullah, adjacent to the ring road, for cleaning to preserve agricultural land.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohamed Al-Touni, Deputy Governor; Kamel Ali Gattas, Secretary-General of the Governorate; Ahmed Shaker, Assistant Secretary-General; Dr. Khaled Qubaisi, Director of the Education Department; Dr. Nevin Shaaban, Director of the Health Department; Dr. Yasser Fawzi, General Manager of the Health Insurance Authority branch; Saad Ashry, Deputy Director of Labor; Rehab Abu Gharb, Director of Citizen Services; Sayed Salah, Head of Field Follow-up; Ramadan Abu Hamed, Director of Associations and Unions at the Social Solidarity Directorate; Raafat George, representative of the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency branch; and representatives from charitable institutions including Sana’a Al-Khair, Misr Al-Khair, Noon Charity, Al-Jarhi Community Development, Zahraa Al-Ihsan, and associations such as Salah El-Din, Ma’an Gate for Good, and Al-Masri Al-Asil for Community Development, as well as the Egypt Giving Committee at the Fayoum Doctors Syndicate and other related parties.

During the meeting, the governor listened to the demands of several young men and women, including people with disabilities, wishing to start development projects or work in private sector institutions, companies, and factories. He directed the Small and Medium Enterprise Development Agency in Fayoum to provide the necessary support to open projects for youth, investing their energies and human capabilities and transitioning them to continuous work and production, contributing to improving their families’ economic level. He also emphasized providing job opportunities in private sector institutions and factories for other young men and women according to their qualifications, life experiences, and living conditions, stressing the monitoring of private employment to ensure targeted individuals are actually working and receiving wages according to applicable laws and regulations.

The governor also instructed the Social Solidarity Directorate officials in Fayoum to coordinate with charitable institutions and civil associations to implement social protection interventions for the most vulnerable cases, provide urgent financial and in-kind assistance, study cases for potential monthly pensions under the “Takaful and Karama” umbrella, coordinate with relevant authorities to supply household and electrical necessities for girls unable to marry, explore debt repayment possibilities for the most needy indebted women after studying their debts, prepare kiosks for the most needy families with necessary supplies, and provide projects such as tricycles, sewing machines, and grocery stores for the most vulnerable families.

In the health sector, the governor directed the Health Department and the General Authority for Health Insurance branch to provide state-funded treatment and complete medical examinations for several patients, expedite physical therapy sessions for motor rehabilitation at Fayoum General Hospital for a young man injured in both legs due to an accident, conduct medical examinations for a woman suffering from cancer and work on providing necessary treatment, provide treatment for an elderly man with chronic diabetes and spinal cartilage inflammation, as well as treatment for a blind man suffering from a stroke in his right arm, and coordinate with relevant authorities to provide a suitable project for him considering his health and living conditions.

Regarding complaints from several farmers in Manshat Abdullah, affiliated with the Agricultural Association in Zawyet Al-Kardasa, Fayoum Center, who suffer from the filling and lack of cleaning of the Nasrani Bay waterway adjacent to the ring road, leading to irrigation water loss and failure to reach their lands, exposing agricultural land to desertification and encroachment, the governor immediately directed the head of field follow-up to inspect the waterway on site and coordinate with relevant authorities to expedite its cleaning to preserve the agricultural land, which is an important income resource for many citizens working in agriculture.
