In an effort to strengthen continuous communication between the governorate and the residents, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, received a number of community leaders, dignitaries, and representatives of civil society institutions in the governorate, in the presence of Abdullah Ibrahim Abdul Latif, Chairman of the Southern Municipal Council, Brigadier Hamad Mohammed Al Khayyat, Deputy Governor, along with several officers and officials.

At the beginning of the meeting, the governor welcomed the residents and attendees, emphasizing his keenness to enhance communication with citizens and meet their needs in various fields. This is in line with the wise vision of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the esteemed King of the Kingdom, may God protect and preserve him, and the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, may God protect him, through providing all basic services to achieve more services and aspirations.

His Highness the governor noted that the Southern Governorate continues to establish the approach of communication with residents and citizens through a series of field visits in addition to various electronic channels and smart platforms provided by the governorate, as part of ongoing efforts to achieve more services and aspirations aimed at serving the residents.

The governor also indicated that the governorate’s efforts continue to follow up on various developmental and service plans that concern citizens, striving to raise the level and quality of services provided, reflecting the developmental and sustainable image witnessed by all areas of the Southern Governorate. He confirmed his commitment to continue field visits and inspection tours to review citizens’ needs in coordination and cooperation with various concerned authorities.

The governor listened to the needs and suggestions of the residents during the council meeting related to security, social, and service fields. He affirmed his constant keenness and diligent follow-up through various electronic channels that contribute to rapid response and activate the link between the Southern Governorate and government agencies to deliver purposeful proposals that contribute to achieving a pioneering developmental image.

At the conclusion of the weekly council, the residents expressed their thanks and appreciation for the continuous communication that Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Khalifa, Governor of the Southern Governorate, maintains with the residents and his diligent follow-up of all their needs and requirements across the governorate.
