Major General Dr. Hesham Abu El-Nasr, Governor of Assiut, and Major General Engineer Amr Abdel Moneim, Head of the General Authority for Upper Egypt Development, inspected the Small Industries Complex affiliated with the Assiut Chamber of Commerce. The complex includes 36 industrial workshops established in partnership between the Upper Egypt Development Authority and the Chamber of Commerce in the industrial zone of Al-Safa in Bani Ghalib.

The governor and the authority head reviewed the progress of the complex, noting that the workshops have been constructed and basic utilities connected. Currently, final finishing works are underway in preparation for trial operation and handing over the workshops to their owners.

Major General Hesham Abu El-Nasr emphasized that the Small Industries Complex represents a genuine nucleus to support local industry and encourage national production. He stressed the governorate’s keenness to create a suitable investment climate for youth and small investors, providing all technical and administrative support, in line with the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi as part of the state’s plans to achieve sustainable development and Egypt Vision 2030.

The governor pointed out that such projects aim to expand the production base, employ youth, and provide real job opportunities. He confirmed that the governorate continues to support developmental and industrial initiatives that contribute to improving living standards and boosting the economic development wheel in Assiut.
