Attention is focused on this session following the decision taken by the Lebanese government to confine weapons to the hands of the Lebanese state.
The General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers distributed an annex to the agenda of the Council of Ministers session to be held on Friday, due to the council not convening for more than two weeks.
Four items were added alongside the item related to presenting and discussing the army’s implementation plan to control weapons, which the army was tasked with preparing.
Attention is focused on this session after the Lebanese government’s decision to confine weapons to the state.
The decision sparked political division in Lebanon, with Hezbollah refusing to hand over weapons before Israeli withdrawal, prisoner release, and cessation of bombings and attacks.
