French President Emmanuel Macron proposed, during peace talks with US President Donald Trump, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and other EU leaders on Monday, to hold a future quadruple meeting on Ukraine including Europe. He said the idea of a trilateral meeting involving the US, Russia, and Ukraine is very important as it is the only way to fix the situation, suggesting that Europe should also participate without specifying who should represent the continent. Macron added, “We will need the quadruple meeting because when we talk about security guarantees, we are talking about the security of the entire European continent.” The meeting at the White House also included leaders from Britain, Germany, Italy, Finland, the European Union, and NATO.
