The High Committee for receiving candidate applications at the North Banha Court in Qalyubia Governorate, headed by Judge Khaled Mamdouh Khidr, President of the Appeals Court and President of the North Banha Primary Court, and head of the committee monitoring the electoral process, along with Judge Shafiq Saeed, Assistant Chief Judge, and Yasser Gad, Secretary-General of the court, began its second day of receiving potential candidates for the 2025 House of Representatives elections, which started yesterday, Wednesday, at 9:00 AM.

Judge Khaled Mamdouh Khidr confirmed that the committee formed to receive applications from potential parliamentary candidates started accepting applications from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Thursday, the second day of receiving applications, according to the timetable set by the National Elections Authority.

Judge Khaled Mamdouh explained that the court has taken a set of security measures to facilitate and organize the entry of candidates, emphasizing that applicants must provide the required documents, which include: the candidate’s CV, especially their scientific and practical experience, criminal record, a statement indicating whether the candidate is independent or affiliated with a party and the name of that party, a financial disclosure for the candidate, their spouse, and minor children, and a university degree certificate or its equivalent at least.

The candidate must also provide a certificate of compulsory military service completion or legal exemption, a receipt for depositing 30,000 Egyptian pounds as a security deposit at the treasury of the competent primary court, and open a bank account at the National Bank of Egypt, Banque Misr, or the Egyptian Post for electoral campaign purposes.
