The Documentary Production Sector at the United Media Services Company announced the production of the documentary film “Sadat and the Battle”; it is set to be aired soon on the “Al-Watha’iqiya” Channel, celebrating the 52nd anniversary of the Egyptian army’s victory in the glorious October War of 1973.
The film documents the critical early years of President Mohamed Anwar Sadat’s rule, from his inauguration as president in 1970 following the death of President Gamal Abdel Nasser, until the start of the glorious October War in 1973.
It highlights how President Sadat managed to reorganize internal and external affairs in preparation for the liberation battle, which culminated in the crossing and achieving victory over Israel, reclaiming all Egyptian territories.
The film features contributions from specialists, researchers, historians, and eyewitnesses of the events of that period.
