For the third day in a row, private meetings have begun in the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh to discuss mechanisms for implementing US President Donald Trump’s proposal concerning Gaza.
Al Cairo News Channel reported that the Sharm El-Sheikh meetings include the head of Egyptian General Intelligence, the Qatari Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, the head of Turkish intelligence, as well as the head of the Israeli delegation and US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.
The meetings focus on the prisoners’ file, guarantees against repeated aggression on Gaza, points of Israeli withdrawal, and the delivery of aid to the Gaza Strip.
The indirect negotiations revolve around the plan Trump proposed last week to end the war.
Meanwhile, from the Egyptian side at the Rafah land crossing to the Kerem Abu Salem crossing southeast of the Gaza Strip, a convoy loaded with urgent relief aid departed to support the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
Al Cairo News Channel stated that the 46th convoy in the “Zad Al-Izza” series includes thousands of tons of humanitarian, relief, and food aid, ranging from sacks of flour, rice, pasta, canned food, as well as medical, therapeutic, and shelter supplies.
It was reported that six trucks loaded with fuel, specifically diesel, are heading from the front area of the Rafah land crossing on the Egyptian side towards the Kerem Abu Salem crossing, in preparation for delivering this fuel into Palestinian territories.
The Egyptian Red Crescent dispatched several trucks carrying electric generators towards the Kerem Abu Salem crossing in preparation for their entry into Gaza. The Kerem Abu Salem crossing resumed operations today after Israeli forces had disrupted its function over the previous two days, which had hindered the delivery of relief and humanitarian aid through Egyptian territory.
