Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister of Egypt, during his tour today of several developmental and service projects in Qalyubia Governorate, took the opportunity to salute Egyptian girls on the occasion of the International Day of the Girl, which the United Nations designated on October 11 every year.
The Prime Minister said: The Egyptian girl has proven her ability to innovate and excel in various fields she engages in. The state is keen to invest in their energies as one of the most important pillars of building the Egyptian human being, within the framework of human development programs adopted by the Egyptian state to develop the capabilities and skills of human resources, including girls, and to enhance the sense of national responsibility among new generations to ensure their effective participation in decision-making.
Dr. Madbouly added: Today, during my inspection of a ready-made clothing factory, the secondary school of applied technology specialized in jewelry making, and Benha Private University, I noticed an increase in the number of girls, which strongly indicates their trend towards acquiring more specialized skills in various fields. Factory officials and others always confirm the girls’ remarkable excellence.
The Prime Minister said: Official statistics for the 2024-2025 academic year also show an increase in the percentage of girls enrolled in public universities compared to boys, with a total of about 1,963,789 students, including 1,049,261 female students representing 53.4% compared to 914,528 male students representing 46.6%, which proves the excellence of the Egyptian girl.
The Prime Minister affirmed that the Egyptian state continues to provide various programs that ensure the necessary care to nurture the talents of Egyptian girls, believing in supporting girls’ rights, empowering them in various fields, and deepening their community participation for a better future.
He added: We are always proud of our girls and will continue to provide the required support for them in various fields.
