Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, stated that the European Union proposes a ban on liquefied natural gas (LNG) imports from Russia as part of the new sanctions package, according to Cairo News Channel in a breaking news report.
She added that they are studying the creation of a compensation loan for Ukraine based on frozen Russian assets.
She emphasized the need to respond strongly to the incursion of Russian drones within EU borders.
Von der Leyen also noted that progress has been made in various areas regarding Ukraine.
