His Highness Prince Fahd bin Jalawi bin Abdulaziz bin Musaed, Vice President of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Chairman of the Supreme Organizing Committee for the Islamic Solidarity Games – Riyadh 2025, chaired today, Sunday, August 24, the second meeting of the coordination committee for the games to be held in Riyadh from November 7 to 21, 2025. The meeting took place in the grand hall of Prince Faisal bin Fahd Olympic Complex in Riyadh.

The meeting was attended by Prince Abdullah bin Fahd, member of the Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee, and His Excellency Assistant Minister of Sports Mr. Abdullilah bin Saad Al-Dallak representing the ministry. They reviewed the preparations and readiness to host the anticipated event. The coordination committee members and the supreme organizing committee members reviewed the latest preparations related to the launch of the sixth edition and reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to organizing an exceptional edition and a comprehensive experience for all participating delegations.

The agenda included reviewing the fundamental pillars of organizing the event, discussing updates on preparing the stadiums and halls that will host competitions across 23 different sports, as well as the organizational plan, reception of delegations, details of live broadcasting of competitions, and standards of services provided to sports delegations and media coming to the capital Riyadh.

The supreme organizing committee includes His Highness Prince Fahd bin Jalawi as chairman, and members including His Excellency Deputy Minister of Sports Mr. Badr bin Abdulrahman Al-Qadi, Ms. Adwaa bint Abdulrahman Al-Arefi, Mr. Abdulaziz bin Ahmed Baashen, Mr. Thamer bin Aslam Basnabl, and Mr. Salman bin Fahd bin Jalawi. The coordination committee includes Mrs. Konul Noralieva from Azerbaijan as chairwoman, and members including Major General Idriss Doukoni from Chad, Mr. Saeed Abdulghafar from the UAE, Mr. Fares Al-Kohaji from Bahrain, and Mr. Obik Kasimov from Uzbekistan.
