Families of 21 fishermen in Al-Farsiya village in Esna city, south of Luxor, celebrated the delivery of 21 fishing boats and advanced equipment to support their daily lives. This was part of the ‘Boats of Livelihood’ initiative aimed at empowering fishermen and the most needy families, in partnership with the Egyptian Export Development Bank (EBank), supported by Dr. Hesham Abu Zeid, Deputy Governor of Luxor, Ali Sayed Sadiq, Mayor of Esna, and Mohamed Hussein, Deputy Minister of Social Solidarity in Luxor. The Deputy Governor expressed his happiness sharing the joy of the locals receiving the boats, praising the role of the Good Makers Foundation and the National Alliance for Developmental Civil Work, along with all civil society institutions for their contributions to the integrated state efforts under President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s leadership to achieve sustainable development and provide support to the most needy families for a decent life.
He emphasized that the delivery of boats represents a new link in the chain of integrated developmental interventions implemented by the foundation under the umbrella of the National Alliance, noting that the cooperation between civil society institutions and the banking sector practically translates the goals of sustainable development and Egypt Vision 2030. The ‘Boats of Livelihood’ initiative provides a practical model to improve quality of life and empower targeted groups by providing appropriate production tools, contributing to creating real and sustainable job opportunities for the most needy villages.
