Those who cannot support Gaza through fighting can do so with money, donations, and giving. Gaza now needs all kinds of support, including food, medicine, clothing, money, doctors, hospitals, fuel, vehicles, child psychologists, and all forms of life-giving aid to rebuild the human spirit destroyed by the Israeli aggression.
There is no need to wait a single minute; the excuses some used, saying they were busy with their money and families, are no longer valid and place them among the backward.
I commend the Jordanian stance, where the Jordanian society has never stopped demanding to extend a helping hand to the people of Gaza, working through unexpected means to deliver aid, eagerly awaiting this moment.
We all take pride in the royal position that answered Gaza’s call, with the royal family at the forefront, even amid danger, sending aid by air while land attempts were sometimes the only way to enter Gaza despite the harsh siege.
Jordan hopes the entire world will immediately start providing the means of life to the people of Gaza. Jordanian political, diplomatic, and communication efforts at all levels, starting from His Majesty the King, Her Majesty the Queen, and the Crown Prince, continue with various countries to serve this approach, which will be tangible in the coming hours.
Gaza needs life restored, urgent medical aid, means to clear rubble and recover bodies, engineers, volunteers, civil defense, and disaster experts. Gaza’s wounds are beginning to cool, living now a difficult hope, as people look around and find nothing but destruction, the smell of death, hunger, thirst, and suffering.
I hope the door to volunteering in the Arab and Islamic world opens to deliver all necessities to Gaza, including doctors, paramedics, civil defense personnel, and volunteers, to start the nation’s connection with Gaza and its people and relieve many from the guilt of not being able to support Gaza during the war for known reasons.
Yes, open the door to live telethons for donations across the Arab and Islamic world. Let this year’s zakat be for Gaza, and let its people receive Eid and Fitr sacrifices. Let people register themselves as standing with Gaza, their nation, religion, and people. Let Palestinian wealthy expatriates and immigrants lead by example with donations, support, sponsoring orphans and students… Let aid and giving flow to Gaza as needed. No more excuses, and perhaps every minute and every help can save a life not yet lost to war.
Let the consolation of Gaza’s people be continuous and visible, comforting the souls of martyrs, wounded, and missing. Let volunteering include teaching Gaza’s children and providing textbooks, notebooks, boards, pens, and chalk, as war has stolen two years of their education, leaving them behind the rest of the world.
Yes, let the ranks form anywhere, even outdoors… This new catastrophe surpasses the Nakba of 1948 in its course and symptoms. Let the rows form in tents that produced distinguished Palestinian generations in the 1950s.
Donors should hurry to face the coming winter and preserve what remains of Palestinian lives. Let Arab air bridges move to Egypt, Jordan, and the nearest locations to Palestine to transfer patients and injured to hospitals, saving those affected by the strongest catastrophe in the war of extermination and ethnic cleansing, surpassing natural earthquake effects through Israeli aggression that lasted two years and dropped on Gaza the equivalent of ten atomic bombs the weight of the American Hiroshima bomb on Japan.
Gaza deserves the world to enter a state of emergency for it now, and we must respond to the royal call that started early and still echoes, set for a strong launch on the eve of the war’s end, to create the model the world must see and follow. Peace be upon you, Gaza, and good morning and hope.
