The Ministry of Transport, represented by the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport, is launching a free training program to train and qualify bus and heavy transport drivers under the slogan “Conscious Driver.. Safe Road”. The program continues to accept applications from drivers wishing to join. The first day of the course will be theoretical and the second practical for those holding a first-degree license. The theoretical training will be held at the headquarters of the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport at 19 Al-Maahid Al-Ishtiraki Street – Roxy – Heliopolis, and the practical training at Suez Bridge in front of Badr Park in the garage area. For second and third-degree drivers, the training period will be determined based on evaluation.

This program is launched in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi’s directives to the Egyptian government and Ministry of Transport to take all measures and mechanisms that contribute to raising the efficiency of the land transport system and qualifying development partners working in this vital sector. Engineer Kamel El-Wazir, Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport, confirmed that the launch of this free training program aims to qualify drivers for safe driving and increase safety rates in the land transport sector. The program aims to empower and train bus and heavy transport drivers on safe and responsible driving skills, enhance road safety, reduce accident rates, and improve operational efficiency in the land transport sector, in addition to providing job opportunities inside and outside Egypt.

The Deputy Prime Minister also invited young people with qualifications (intermediate – above intermediate – higher) wishing to work as bus and truck drivers to join this program and benefit from its many advantages, as it is completely free with no fees. Trainees will be granted a certificate accredited by the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport, with job opportunities in companies affiliated to the Ministry of Transport (Upper Egypt Transport and Tourism Company EGBUS – West and Central Delta Bus Transport and Tourism Company – East Delta Transport and Tourism Company – Arab Union Land Transport Company (Super Jet) – Akta Mass Transport Company – Egyptian Shuttle Bus Company – Capital Taxi Company – Nile Freight Transport Company) with rewarding salaries after passing the training program.

The program will be implemented under the full supervision of the Ministry of Transport using the latest training methods according to a comprehensive curriculum that includes (safe driving rules and traffic laws – preventive maintenance and dealing with breakdowns – professional driving skills and handling emergency situations – professional awareness and social responsibility).
