On Monday, August 25, Algerian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ahmed Ataf met with Saudi Arabia’s Foreign Minister Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud in Jeddah. The meeting took place on the sidelines of the extraordinary session of the Council of Foreign Ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation member states. The two ministers discussed the current state of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and prospects for enhancing and elevating them, particularly in the context of preparations for the first session of the Algerian-Saudi Supreme Coordination Council. They also addressed recent developments in the Middle East, focusing on the serious developments regarding the Palestinian issue.
