Talaat El-Sewedy, a member of parliament and current chairman of the Energy Committee, officially submitted his candidacy papers today, Wednesday, for the 2025 parliamentary elections representing the Derb Negm and Al-Ibrahimiya districts in Al-Sharqia Governorate, running individually for the Future of the Nation Party.
El-Sewedy received the pen symbol and was assigned number (1) on the candidates’ list, making him one of the first contenders for the seat in this electorally significant district.
Following the submission, El-Sewedy confirmed that his decision to return to parliamentary competition is a continuation of his dedication to public service and supporting the state’s efforts to achieve comprehensive development in the villages and centers of Al-Sharqia Governorate. He pointed out that the upcoming phase requires deputies with experience and vision for serious parliamentary work.
He emphasized his full commitment to the responsible party approach within the Future of the Nation Party and continuing efforts to improve service levels, support infrastructure, education, and health projects, affirming that the district’s residents always deserve the best, saying: “Serving people is an honor and a responsibility.”
