The Internal Trade Department of the Supply and Internal Trade Directorate in Qalyubia launched a large-scale campaign in the Toukh area, following instructions from Dr. Sherif Farouk, Minister of Supply and Internal Trade, and Engineer Ayman Atiya, Governor of Qalyubia, under the guidance of Dr. Tamer Salah Mokhtar, Deputy Minister and Director of the Supply Directorate in Qalyubia, and supervision by Engineer Amal Abdel Qawy, Deputy Director.

The campaign resulted in the seizure of 3 tons of modified single superphosphate fertilizer with 12.5% phosphorus pentoxide, 1.5 tons of white sugar, 500 liters of cooking oil, and 200 cartons of snacks without invoices proving their source. The seized goods were held under receipt pending public prosecution decisions.

Additionally, 10 tons of cement without invoices were seized in a cement warehouse in Toukh, along with 25 bags of subsidized local flour collected from municipal bakeries intended for black market sale. The suspects were handed over to the police, and the tricycle used was confiscated pending prosecution decisions.

A supply grocer was also caught with 150 kg of subsidized sugar that he repackaged into other bags to sell at market price, benefiting from the price difference. The scale used, a bag sealing machine, 500 empty subsidized sugar bags, and 350 empty bags for repackaging were confiscated. He also collected 348 bottles of mixed subsidized oil (800 ml each) and 120 kg of subsidized sugar.

The Shibin El Qanater Supply Department seized 4,920 kg of various goods including 1,800 kg of pasta, 1,320 kg of coffee, 1,500 kg of premium tourist flour, and 300 kg of iodized salt without invoices or known sources. They also seized 660 assorted cigarette packs, 10 one-liter bottles of expired degreasing liquid, and 29 expired cake bags. All seized items were held under receipt pending prosecution decisions.

The Deputy Minister confirmed that campaigns continue daily to confront any violations or attempts to manipulate citizens’ rights.
