The New York Times reported on Tuesday that the US administration deported about 100 Iranians on a plane from the United States back to their country.
The newspaper cited two Iranian officials involved in the negotiations and a US official familiar with the matter.
The Iranian officials said a US-chartered plane took off from Louisiana on Monday and is scheduled to arrive in Iran via Qatar on Tuesday.
The newspaper noted that the identities of the Iranians and their reasons for attempting to migrate to the US were not immediately clear.
