Artist Sabri Abdel Moneim told Youm7 that due to moving frequently, he did not keep his own archive despite its importance, confirming that his wife, daughter of the late artist Abdel Moneim Ibrahim, preserves her father’s complete archive.

He added that his health condition is reassuring, with his heart muscle functioning at more than 50% efficiency, and he is in good health, thank God.

Sabri Abdel Moneim expressed gratitude for his situation, mentioning he was born in the mid-1940s and was an athlete. He recalled seeing the king on Army Street and living through the presidencies of Gamal Abdel Nasser, Anwar Sadat, and Hosni Mubarak, expressing his wish to meet President El-Sisi.

He stated that he still maintains his health and activity thanks to God, although he has some coronary artery issues that required stents and a pacemaker.

Youm7 honored the veteran artist at his home in celebration of his long artistic career, conducting a televised interview where Sabri spoke about his artistic and family life, his noble lineage, and his marriage to the daughter of the late esteemed artist Abdel Moneim Ibrahim.

Recently, Sabri Abdel Moneim expressed great happiness about his recent honor at the 8th session of the Theater Syndicate Festival, describing the recognition as “a very nice thing” for him.

He is considered one of Egypt’s most prominent stars, having presented dozens of cinematic and television works throughout his long career, which makes his fans closely follow his health updates.

His latest appearance was in the 2024 Ramadan drama “Beit El Rifai,” starring Amir Karara, where Sabri played the role of a factory owner who has a good relationship with the main character, Amir Karara.

The series stars Amir Karara, Ahmed Rizk, Sayed Ragab, Rehab El Gamal, Enas Kamel, Safaa El Toukhy, Mirna Jamil, Malak Qoura, Mohamed Lotfy, Aida Riyad, Ahmed Fouad Selim, among others.
