South Korean airline Korean Air announced on Tuesday its intention to purchase 103 next-generation Boeing aircraft in a deal valued at about 50 billion dollars, including spare engines from GE Aerospace. The deliveries are expected to be completed by the end of 2030. The order includes 20 Boeing 777-9s, 25 Boeing 787-10s, 50 Boeing 737-10s, and eight Boeing 777-8F freighters. The agreement was signed in Washington during a meeting between American and South Korean companies, overseen by U.S. Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick and South Korea’s Ministry of Trade, Industry, and Energy. This announcement came shortly after U.S. President Donald Trump met with South Korean President Lee Jae-myung to discuss bilateral relations and trade investments.
