Officials from tech startups participating in the “Expand North Star” exhibition stated that they are seeking and planning to relocate their businesses to Dubai in the near future to benefit from the opportunities the emirate offers to support the growth and development of startups, especially in the IT and artificial intelligence sectors.
They told “Emarat Al Youm” on the sidelines of the opening of the 10th edition in Dubai yesterday that their participation through platforms at the exhibition provides an opportunity to explore establishing offices and partnerships in Dubai and expanding their businesses through the city. They pointed out that Dubai is one of the best cities globally for developing startup businesses, whether through its stimulating investment environment, available facilities, advanced technological infrastructure, or legislation supporting the growth of tech companies.
Specifically, Saeed Al Qerqawi, Vice President of Dubai Chamber for Digital Economy, said, “Thanks to the facilities it provides, Dubai has become an oasis and an attractive destination for many tech startups, which has led a large number of these companies to move their businesses to Dubai and expand and grow from there into global markets.”
Patrick Barmer, CEO and founder of the AI systems startup “Atomo,” said, “His company intends in the near future to explore establishing offices in Dubai or forming partnerships that allow it to operate from the emirate and launch and grow through it to expand into various global markets.”
He added, “Dubai offers many growth and development opportunities for tech startups, especially those working in modern AI systems, supported by a stimulating investment environment, advanced technological infrastructure, and legislation that supports adopting the latest technological systems.”
Akram Salem, founder and CEO of the international tech startup “Eco Fort,” said, “He aims to launch his company, which was established in a European country, to operate in Dubai soon,” considering that “Dubai is one of the best cities in the world, if not the leading one, in supporting the growth and development of tech startups through the facilities it offers in the work environment and tax incentives available compared to many countries worldwide, in addition to Dubai being a hub for companies from various global markets, enabling startups to grow and go global through its platforms.”
He explained that “Dubai provides a supportive environment for companies working in AI to develop and expand, especially since the emirate was a pioneer in adopting these technologies and setting policies that encourage their innovations.”
Amir Ghaideri, Business Development Manager at “Bit Hat,” said, “His company, established in the United States, intends to set up operations in Dubai soon in the blockchain and crypto sector to benefit from the growth Dubai markets are witnessing in this sector, which attracts many international companies.”
Key Jeong, General Manager of Business Development at the tech startup “Narma,” indicated that “the company intends to establish operations in Dubai soon and expand its markets, supported by the facilities granted in Dubai to tech startups and the support for expansion and growth, enabling it to develop at high rates.”
Mothkarmasi Mothkarnam, CEO of the tech company “Honk,” said, “He intends to establish operations for his company in Dubai soon, given the attractive and stimulating environment for tech startups in Dubai and the presence of a market that allows for growing and developing at increasing rates.”
