Slovenian Foreign Minister Tanja Fajon stated that Gaza loses approximately a class of students every day due to continuous bombing and deliberate starvation.
She added in a press statement on Monday: “In the Gaza Strip, life-saving aid is deliberately blocked, and entire families are wiped out before the eyes of the world.”
The Slovenian minister confirmed that peace requires justice, which led her country to impose sanctions on Israeli ministers as well as on arms trafficking with Israel.
She pointed out that her country has recognized Palestine and will call during the United Nations General Assembly to expand the recognition of Palestine.
She also indicated that Slovenia is considering joining South Africa’s case against Israel before the International Court of Justice in The Hague.
