Fawzia bint Abdullah Zainal, Bahrain’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt and Permanent Delegate to the Arab League, affirmed that the official visit by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister, to the sisterly Arab Republic of Egypt marked a significant milestone in the historic and close relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and Egypt. It inaugurated a qualitative shift in the fraternal relations path, establishing a new phase of strategic cooperation and effective partnership.
She confirmed that His Highness’s meetings with His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, President of Egypt, and Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, Prime Minister, reflected the depth of the strategic ties and strong fraternal bonds based on mutual trust and shared visions. She noted that the outcomes of these meetings will positively impact the enhancement of cooperation in various political, economic, investment, and developmental sectors.
She pointed out that the convening of the Bahrain-Egypt Business Council on the sidelines of the visit represented a qualitative step towards opening new horizons for economic and commercial partnership, supporting joint investment opportunities and fulfilling the aspirations of the private sector in both countries. She emphasized that the agreements and understandings reached during the council constitute an additional pillar to strengthen bilateral cooperation in the upcoming phase.
She also stressed that the visit confirmed Egypt’s pivotal role in supporting Arab national security and consolidating regional stability. She highlighted the alignment of visions between the leaderships of both countries on Arab, regional, and international issues, foremost among them the Palestinian cause. There was an emphasis on the necessity of reaching a just and lasting solution that guarantees the legitimate rights of the brotherly Palestinian people, halting escalation, protecting civilians, and supporting relief and reconstruction efforts in Gaza.
The Ambassador expressed pride in the growing development of Bahrain-Egypt relations under the gracious patronage and continuous support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, the King of Bahrain, and his brother President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, with the diligent follow-up of His Royal Highness the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. She confirmed that the coming phase will witness a broader launch in bilateral cooperation fields, stressing that the visit’s outcomes will positively reflect on the development and prosperity journey in both countries and open wide horizons for new strategic partnerships that benefit the two brotherly peoples.
