Ahmed El-Zeiny, Head of the Building Materials Division at the Cairo Chamber of Commerce, confirmed the stability of iron prices today among companies and distributors after the recent increase, with selling prices ranging from 39,200 to about 40,000 EGP.

Practically, the iron price in Egypt stabilized today, Thursday 9-10-2025, in the markets amid expectations of slight price movements, as prices remained at the same levels recorded during the past two months.

Markets are awaiting the determination of the new iron ton price this month. The price of a ton of iron today in Egypt ranges between 38,000 and 38,500 EGP at the factory price, reaching the consumer with an increase of about 1,000 EGP per ton depending on the governorate or type of iron companies, reaching about 40,000 EGP.

The iron price was recorded between 38,200 and 38,500 EGP per ton delivered at the factory gate for most types.

Iron is one of the most important raw materials used in building materials, relied upon by many in their construction projects.

With an average price of about 38,200 EGP per ton, it reaches more than 40,000 EGP at some distributors in some governorates of the republic, based on the monthly price and the fixed price for this month according to the factory, company type, and geographical distribution areas across different governorates.
