Banking and economic experts confirmed that credit cards are witnessing notable popularity in the UAE coinciding with the countdown to the new academic year. Many parents prefer using credit cards to pay school fees in flexible installments, thanks to the facilities and attractive rewards offered by banks. Banks compete annually before the school season to launch promotional offers for paying school fees via credit cards, including installment plans up to 12 months without interest, extending to 24 months in some banks, cashback up to 10%, loyalty points, and other offers. Experts view credit cards as a useful financial tool for paying school fees when used wisely, allowing parents to avoid large lump-sum payments and benefit from bank offers and rewards, making credit card payments more attractive than cash or checks. Some banks have started direct cooperation with many schools and universities to provide customized payment solutions.
Experts emphasize that using credit cards for school fee payments is a smart financial decision if done in an organized manner, especially with the attractive and almost free facilities provided by banks.
