Yuri Ushakov, aide to the Russian president, announced that Russia will currently support the nomination of US President Donald Trump for the Nobel Peace Prize.
Ushakov said in a press statement: “I think we will support that now if asked,” according to the Russian news agency Sputnik.
Ushakov described Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s statements about supplying Kyiv with “Tomahawk” missiles and awarding Trump the Nobel Peace Prize as “terrible.”
Yesterday, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi congratulated President Trump for his diligent efforts to stop the war in the Gaza Strip, affirming that Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize on that basis and rightfully so.
In September, Cambodian Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Prak Sokhonn announced at the UN General Assembly that his country had nominated Trump for the Peace Prize for achieving a ceasefire in the border conflict with Thailand.
