Russian forces are launching a continuous offensive along nearly the entire front line.

Meanwhile, the Russian Ministry of Defense announced on Sunday that Russian air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 21 Ukrainian drones following a nighttime attack.

The ministry stated on Telegram that 11 drones were shot down over the Volgograd region in southern Russia, while the rest were destroyed over the Rostov, Belgorod, and Bryansk regions in the southwest of the country.

RIA Novosti quoted the governor of Belgorod saying that 9 people were injured in Ukrainian attacks involving 136 drones targeting 9 towns in the province within 24 hours.

Russian Chief of Staff Valery Gerasimov confirmed that Russian forces are conducting a continuous offensive along almost the entire front line. He added that since last March, Russian forces have controlled over 3,500 square kilometers in their war against Ukraine.

On the other hand, the Ukrainian Air Force announced it shot down 126 drones out of 142 launched by Russian forces over several areas last night.

The Ukrainian military administration reported that Russian shelling in several areas of southern and eastern Ukraine caused casualties.

The Ukrainian General Staff also reported 182 clashes with Russian forces on the battlefronts during the past 24 hours.

Meanwhile, the governor of Ukraine’s Odessa region, Oleh Kiper, said a Russian drone attack overnight damaged an electricity facility near the city of Odessa in southern Ukraine, causing power outages for more than 29,000 customers on Sunday morning.

Kiper wrote on Telegram that the hardest-hit area was the city of Chornomorsk on the outskirts of Odessa, where the attack also caused damage to homes and administrative buildings. Kiper said, “Critical infrastructure is operating on generators,” adding that one person was injured as a result of the attack.
