Israeli occupation artillery planes continued bombing various areas of the Gaza Strip on the first day of the ceasefire.
According to medical sources, 27 Palestinians have been martyred since dawn Thursday in the Gaza Strip, including eight in bombings witnessed on the first day of the ceasefire, while the rest were recovered from areas vacated by tanks or succumbed to their injuries, according to the Palestinian Ma’an Agency.
In Gaza and the northern area, 4 Palestinians were martyred and 9 others injured in shelling on Al-Thalathini Street in Gaza City.
The Israeli army issued a statement claiming the shelling was accidental.
In the central Gaza Strip, Israeli occupation forces set fire to the building of the Faculty of Medicine at the Islamic University inside the Natsarim axis north of central Gaza.
The occupation air force also launched a series of raids on Khan Younis city amid military aircraft flying over the city.
The daily statistical report of martyrs and injuries due to the Israeli aggression on Gaza showed 11 Palestinians martyred, including one recovered martyr, and 49 injuries in the past 24 hours.
The total toll of the Israeli aggression has risen to 67,194 martyrs and 169,890 injuries since October 7, 2023.
Meanwhile, the Israeli occupation government approved early Friday morning the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip.
The Israeli government presidency said the government officially approved the proposal of US President Donald Trump to end the war in Gaza, according to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA).
Netanyahu’s office added that the government agreed on the outlines for the release of all prisoners.
