Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has strongly condemned Afghan provocations in the border areas between the two countries.

Shehbaz Sharif, as reported by Radio Pakistan today (Sunday), affirmed that there will be no concessions regarding Pakistan’s defense of itself, stressing that any provocation will be met with an appropriate response. He praised the performance of the Pakistani army and its firm response to Afghan provocations, appreciating the professional competence of its forces.

He pointed out that the Pakistani army, under the brave leadership of General Syed Asim Munir, not only responded appropriately to the Afghan provocations but also destroyed many sites, forcing the attackers to retreat. He explained that Pakistan has repeatedly exchanged information with Afghanistan about terrorist elements launching attacks against Pakistan from Afghan territory.

Pakistan has witnessed a noticeable increase in armed attacks, with most attacks reported in the Pakistani border regions with Afghanistan, notably Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan.
