MP Adel Abdel Fadil, head of the Parliament’s Labor Committee and Central Workers’ Secretary of the National Front Party, praised the Egyptian Arab Islamic statement affirming rejection of Israeli control over Gaza, calling for an immediate halt to Israeli aggression on the sector, condemning any attempts to forcibly displace Palestinians, and committing to a political path for a two-state solution. He stated that 30 million Egyptian workers strongly condemn Israel’s announcement of its intent to impose full military control over Gaza, considering it a serious escalation and violation of international law. The ministerial committee assigned by the extraordinary Arab Islamic summit, including Bahrain, Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan, Nigeria, Palestine, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, the Arab League, the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, and others, issued a statement condemning Israel’s ongoing violations, including killing, starvation, forced displacement, land annexation, and settler terrorism, crimes that may amount to crimes against humanity.

The committee called for an immediate and comprehensive halt to Israeli aggression, continuous cessation of violations against civilians and infrastructure, and urgent unconditional entry of humanitarian aid to Gaza. It also supported efforts by Egypt, Qatar, and the USA to reach a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement. MP Adel Abdel Fadil emphasized the need to start implementing the Arab Islamic plan to rebuild Gaza and condemned any attempts to displace Palestinians from Gaza and the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. The statement affirmed that a just and lasting peace can only be achieved through the two-state solution based on the June 4, 1967 lines with East Jerusalem as the capital, according to international law and UN resolutions.

The committee held Israel fully responsible for the unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and called on the international community, especially UN Security Council permanent members, to fulfill their legal and humanitarian responsibilities and act urgently to stop Israeli aggression aimed at undermining peace prospects.
