Dr. Mostafa Madbouly, the Prime Minister, met today at the government headquarters in New Alamein City with Dr. Rania Al-Mashat, Minister of Planning, Economic Development and International Cooperation, to follow up on preparations for launching the “National Economic Development Narrative: Policies Supporting Growth and Employment.” The Prime Minister reaffirmed the government’s focus on this narrative as a roadmap for economic development axes over the coming years. It is part of efforts to develop a new long-term economic vision aiming to unify various policies, strategies, and targets into a unified platform that governs government directions and work, contributing to continuing economic reform efforts and strengthening partnerships with the private sector and international institutions. The minister highlighted that the narrative covers enhancing macroeconomic stability, foreign direct investment, industrial development, foreign trade, labor market efficiency and flexibility, and regional planning to drive economic development.

It includes quantitative targets reflecting the results of structural and economic reforms to achieve growth, employment, foreign investment attraction, industrial localization, and other goals. The narrative will be launched for community dialogue through sessions led by specialists to discuss its axes and goals, while gathering feedback to be included in the final version.
