Dr. Essam Khalil, head of the Free Egyptians Party, congratulated Egypt, the Egyptian and Palestinian peoples, the Arab region, and the entire world on reaching the “Sharm El-Sheikh Agreement” to halt the war in Gaza, describing this achievement as “historic” and a “miracle.”

In a phone interview with Extra News channel, Khalil said this agreement crowns a major diplomatic and political achievement led by His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, affirming that the Egyptian leadership proved with its insightful vision that the language of peace is stronger than the language of weapons.

The party leader added that what was achieved in Sharm El-Sheikh “is no less an accomplishment than the breaching of the Bar Lev Line,” pointing out that the Egyptian diplomatic approach will be taught as a model in crisis management and peacebuilding.

He explained that the strength of the agreement lies in its timing, following a widespread feeling of frustration over the expansion of the war in the region, stressing that Egyptian presidential diplomacy succeeded in employing all centers of international and regional power, from the United States and influential Arab countries to Turkey and others, to achieve this historic breakthrough.

Khalil concluded his statement saying: “What happened is a miracle in October and a new victory added to Egypt’s national record. Thanks to His Excellency President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi and all Egyptian state agencies that accomplished this agreement with wisdom and competence. Long live Egypt, long live Egypt, long live Egypt.”
