During the meeting, Pezeshkian said that the comprehensive strategic agreement between Tehran and Moscow “is undoubtedly capable of enhancing and expanding the scope of our interactions,” according to Iran’s Mehr News Agency.
The Iranian president added, “Our level of interaction has increased with the signing of the long-term comprehensive strategic agreement, and the Eurasian treaty has also been approved by our parliament, which in turn will boost our economic growth and economic interactions.”
He affirmed, “I personally follow up on the agreements made and strive hard to remove all obstacles in our path.”
He concluded by saying, “The exchange of expertise between our countries can take shape, and very suitable platforms can be established to expand our relations, whether in management, science, or expertise.”
During the same meeting, the Russian president said: The trade exchange between Iran and Russia grew by 13% in 2024, and by 11.4% in the first six months of the year.
Putin added, “We attach great importance to expanding human relations; a large number of Iranian students choose Russia for their studies, with the number of Iranian students in Russia tripling over the past five years.”
The Russian president pointed out that Moscow and Tehran are in constant communication regarding various issues on the international agenda, including the situation concerning Iran’s nuclear program.
Presidents Putin and Pezeshkian signed the comprehensive strategic partnership treaty in April this year, which came into effect in July.
