Syria strongly condemned the recent Israeli attacks on its territory, which resulted in the martyrdom of a young man due to the bombing of his home in the village of Tarnaja in northern Quneitra countryside. Additionally, the occupying forces conducted incursions and arrest campaigns against civilians in the town of Suwaisa, and announced their continued illegal presence on the summit of Mount Hermon and the buffer zone.
The Syrian Foreign Ministry stated in a Tuesday statement that these aggressive practices represent a blatant violation of the United Nations Charter, international law, and relevant Security Council resolutions, constituting a direct threat to peace and security in the region.
Syria also renewed its call on the international community, especially the Security Council, to take urgent action to put an end to these ongoing violations. The Syrian Arab Republic emphasized its firm and legitimate right to defend its land and people by all means guaranteed by international law.
