In a humanitarian initiative, a group of students from the 2025 high school class in Mashtoul Al-Souq, Al-Sharqia Governorate, sponsored the purchase of a modern device to treat vitiligo, costing about 165,000 Egyptian pounds, supporting the healthcare system and serving patients at the central hospital.
Dr. Hadeel Ezzat, director of Mashtoul Al-Souq Central Hospital, expressed her happiness upon receiving the device, affirming that this generous gesture by the high school students embodies the values of community participation. She thanked them and wished them continued generosity, noting that the device will serve patients.
Dr. Noha Ezzat, head of the dermatology department at the hospital, explained that the device relies on a type of laser used to stimulate pigment cells under the skin, which helps treat vitiligo. She added that the device also contributes to treating psoriasis, especially in winter, as well as eczema and localized alopecia in children.
The hospital administration confirmed that this step represents real support for serving the residents of the center and neighboring areas and reflects the youth’s awareness of the importance of social solidarity.
