The Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project in Dubai South announced yesterday the expansion of airline maintenance facilities to support operators, including ground operators of private aviation, by providing direct access to their clients.
According to yesterday’s statement, the expansion increased the number of maintenance units to 11, covering a total area of 76,000 square feet.
These units are designed as an integrated solutions center in the aviation sector, offering a wide range of services including storage and maintenance warehouses, specialized technical equipment, engineering support, and a world-class pilots’ lounge.
The facilities will also include dedicated shaded parking, offices, and a number of additional features specifically designed to meet sector requirements.
Construction work is scheduled to be completed in the third quarter of 2026.
Mohammed Al Falasi, Deputy Executive Director of the Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project, said: “We have expanded our services to meet the increasing demand from companies for airline maintenance services. This achievement reflects our commitment to developing leading facilities and building an integrated system that meets our clients’ aspirations. We will continue to exert all efforts to establish Dubai as a leading global destination in the aviation sector.”
It is noteworthy that the Mohammed bin Rashid Aviation Project offers global aviation companies investment opportunities, as it is a free zone for leading airlines, private aviation companies, aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul companies, and related activities. The project is located within Dubai South, which developed it to be a center for various types of maintenance and a destination for training and education. It also aims to enhance engineering industries supporting the emirate’s vision to become a leading global aviation hub.
