US President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war on the Gaza Strip revealed that the strip will be temporarily managed by a non-political Palestinian technocratic committee responsible for public services and municipalities, including Palestinian and international experts, under the supervision of the “Peace Council,” an international transitional body chaired by Trump along with other leaders to be announced, including former British Prime Minister Tony Blair. This body will set the framework and funding for Gaza’s reconstruction until the Palestinian Authority is reformed and able to regain control of the strip.

During a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, Trump explained that the “Peace Council” plan for Gaza includes his personal chairmanship to ensure the success of the idea, with participation from former British Prime Minister Tony Blair.

On Monday, the White House revealed details of the US plan regarding Gaza, stating that the Israeli occupation will neither occupy nor annex the strip. The White House said Trump’s plan includes a three-stage withdrawal of the Israeli army, noting that “if both sides agree to the plan, the Gaza war will end immediately.”
