The alumni of Carnegie Mellon University in Saudi Arabia held their annual meeting for 2025, with the participation of about 50 graduates from various university colleges.
The Dean of Libraries at Carnegie Mellon University from Pittsburgh, Keith Webster, spoke about the university’s global role, which spans over 125 years, presenting statistical data on Saudi alumni from the past 55 years.
He stated that the university ranks 24th globally according to the “Times Higher Education” ranking of the best universities, focusing on research and graduate studies. Saudi students have graduated in diverse fields including cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, various branches of engineering, and computer science.
This meeting reflects the growing role of Carnegie Mellon alumni in the Kingdom, enhancing the exchange of expertise and building bridges of cooperation between academics, practitioners, and executive leaders, supporting the achievement of Saudi Vision 2030 goals in technology, innovation, and human capital investment.
