All the political stupidity practiced by the Muslim Brotherhood throughout its history has had the exact opposite effect on Egyptians, as if the group spares us great effort in reminding people of its ongoing crimes and blatant treason. It volunteers to motivate Egyptians once again to confront, challenge, and stand firm against extremist and terrorist gangs abroad. The recent ‘Consulate Raid’ is no exception to this historical paradox in the relationship between Egyptians and this terrorist group. While the Brotherhood’s fools aimed to serve Israel by directing anger at the Egyptian administration through harassment of consulates and diplomatic missions, the outcome was contrary to what the group and its funding entities planned.

This despicable raid turned into an opportunity to unify ranks anew, activate the general national memory of the group’s vile project, and awaken the dignity of Egyptians worldwide who rallied around diplomatic missions, protecting them with their bodies and souls, raising the Egyptian flag against the wave of vile misinformation targeting our embassies. This raid proved conclusively to all Egyptians that the Brotherhood’s project recognizes no homeland, flag, embassy, or dignity for Egypt.

Egyptian communities astonishingly rallied around Egyptian embassy buildings in many European cities and the United States. The national memory revived with scenes of Egyptians raising their country’s flag in an emotional response to the feeling that these buildings housing diplomatic missions are not mere stone structures but an inseparable part of Egyptian national dignity abroad. Defending them is a national duty against treacherous and traitorous groups.

The Brotherhood’s fools renewed the spirit of June 30th in all our veins. Where they intended to humiliate Egypt, they found themselves facing a comprehensive revival inside and outside the country of the spirit of confrontation and challenge that moved Egyptians to overthrow this treacherous group. Attempts to intimidate did not prevent Egyptians from protecting their embassies, nor did attempts at doubt and misinformation shake Egyptians’ trust in Egypt’s leadership or the way the Gaza war file is managed. All Brotherhood tricks failed, surprising the group with a storm of patriotic feelings sweeping Egyptians’ hearts in all cities where the treacherous consulate raid took place. Egyptians came out to refute all Brotherhood delusions, affirming their ability to protect the prestige of their country’s diplomatic missions and their refusal to fall into the trap set by the Brotherhood for Israel’s benefit.

This Egyptian uprising abroad also aimed to thwart the Brotherhood’s game of humiliating Egyptian symbols abroad and attempting to exploit fabricated photos and videos as if indicating the fragility of the Egyptian state. Thus, Egyptians’ gathering around embassy and consulate buildings shatters this deception and responds popularly to Western media that these embassies and buildings are not under the protection of states or police institutions alone but also under the protection of Egyptians residing abroad who do not accept that traitors’ hands desecrate any Egyptian symbol abroad.

What confirms Egyptians’ skill in responding to this despicable raid is that Egyptian communities acted professionally and legally, coordinating early with police institutions in European cities for security coordination and obtaining legal permits for the gatherings. This sends a message of civility and legal commitment. Communities also documented these gatherings on video and published them on social media platforms so that Egyptians inside Egypt know that their brothers abroad are always ready to bear their national responsibilities and will not accept any insult to Egypt and its stature. These videos revived our national memory with scenes reminiscent of June 30th, as if calling us again to restore this spirit of confrontation and constant readiness for treacherous attacks planned by Brotherhood wolves inside or outside the country.

These scenes confirm once again that Egyptians abroad play an indispensable role and that constant coordination with these communities represents an important cornerstone and an influential Egyptian soft power, providing support during major confrontations.

Egyptians abroad have proven through their patriotic stances and emotional and national uprisings that they are a main bulwark in our great battle against terrorism and terrorists. Perhaps these scenes urge us in media, parties, and political institutions to deepen ties further with Egyptian communities, maintain continuous coordination with our soft power abroad, and build smart bridges between Egyptian communities and the Egyptian interior on one hand, and help build stronger bridges between this soft power and European societies and foreign media to always clarify facts before Western public opinion.

I thank the foolish Brotherhood for stirring in us overwhelming patriotic feelings. The sins of this group will remain the foundation for the unity of Egyptians when it cannot hide its treason and betrayal. We thank the consulate raid for reviving the feelings of June 30th within us once again, and we thank the Egyptian soft powers abroad before and after. You made us happy.
