The announcement came after intensive negotiations in Sharm El-Sheikh regarding the American proposal, where the movement praised the mediation efforts led by Qatar, Egypt, and Turkey. It also commended the efforts of U.S. President Donald Trump “aiming to permanently end the war and ensure the full withdrawal of the occupation from the Gaza Strip.”
The movement called on President Trump and the guarantor countries of the agreement to “oblige the occupation government to fully implement the agreement’s obligations, and not allow it to evade or delay the application of what was agreed upon.”
Hamas saluted the Palestinian people “who recorded unparalleled stances of dignity, heroism, and honor,” affirming that “the sacrifices of our people will not be in vain, and we will remain committed to the pledge, never abandoning the national rights of our people including freedom, independence, and self-determination.”
