Ferdinand Marcos Jr., President of the Republic of the Philippines, welcomed an official UAE government delegation including Abdullah Nasser Lootah, Assistant Minister of Cabinet Affairs for Knowledge Exchange and Competitiveness, Mohammed Obeid Salem, UAE Ambassador to the Philippines, and the Government Knowledge Exchange Office team from the Ministry of Cabinet Affairs during an official visit to the Philippines.

During the visit, the Government Knowledge Exchange Forum between the two countries was organized to discuss expanding positive partnership areas in sharing expertise, experiences, and best practices in modernizing government work.

The Philippine President expressed his gratitude to the UAE for its continuous support, affirming that the UAE is a “true partner” in building smarter and more future-ready governments.

His Excellency Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Minister of Cabinet Affairs, stated that building government knowledge and enhancing government readiness for the future through developing a cooperation model centered on sharing experiences is fundamental to the UAE leadership’s vision in developing international relations and empowering governments and communities to create a better future for coming generations.

First Lady of the Philippines, Louise Araneta Marcos, praised the positive partnerships and cooperation between the UAE and Philippine governments, including government knowledge exchange, appreciating joint efforts in designing and implementing innovative initiatives that empower and develop the capabilities of government leaders, youth, and women in the Philippines.

The forum was attended by senior officials from both countries and discussed strategic themes including innovation, government excellence and performance, competitiveness, statistics, government services, artificial intelligence, and future foresight.

The forum covered mechanisms to accelerate the achievement of the Philippine government’s national agenda priorities, innovative models matching each development phase, best practices, successful results of strategic government cooperation, and exemplary initiatives representing inspiring models for sustainable development and government modernization.
